A little bit about me…

Your girl is born and raised in Vernon, BC and has been loving life for 24 years. I’m a chai latte-loving wife and dog mom (please ask me for pictures of my gentle giant fur ball Stanley, he’s just the best). I have a passion for art and music and am so grateful to be here. Although my artistic roots are in painting, drawing and making music, I have come to love capturing memories and being a part of so many special moments. What can I say, I’m a sucker for a love story.

I learned everything I know about how a camera works as a teenager. I took a film photography class throughout high school and learned all about the camera and how to use one. The rest is history. I learned to develop film and enlarge images and even did my final Chemistry project on the science of Film Photography. I still have all of my work if you ever want to see or read any of it (but my photos really weren’t that good back then). I really was a nerd about it all! I love that my roots start with film and blossomed from there.

Here I am today, running my own little side hustle and pursuing my dream. It’s all so unreal, I never thought I’d be here. I have loved it so much and have had the biggest honour of meeting so many amazing people along the way.

Fun Fact About Me: I normally spell words the American way (ex. color). I didn’t on my website because I thought that could be confusing or weird to people. My Dad’s American so I use that as my excuse.

My Favourite Colour: Yellow!!!! I dream to decorate my house with lots of greys, whites, greens and, of course, YELLOW!

My Biggest Claim to Fame as a Photographer: I have NEVER lost a lens cap… EVER! It’s a common problem in the industry but I haven’t ever had to replace a cap, I guess it’s magic???

My Business Goal: One day I want to be capturing weddings and elopements all the time! I just love love, ya know? I also want to own a big studio space to rent out to other creators. Each room would have a different theme so people can really try all of the aesthetics in one place right here in the Okanagan!
